Time Frame - Benefit will be paid for the sixth full month after SSA disability finding
Disability benefit equals - 100% of an individual worker's "Primary Insurance Amount" (PIA)

- Workers’ compensation [state/federal payments for job-related injury] other public disability benefits may reduce individual’s Social Security benefits if exceed 80% of individual’s average current earnings before he or she became disabled
- civil service disability benefits, military disability benefits, state temporary disability benefits and state or local government retirement benefits that are based on disability
These Do Not Cause Reduction of SSDI
- Disability payments from private sources, such as private pension or insurance benefit
- Veterans Administration benefits
- State and local government benefits, if Social Security taxes were deducted from individual’s earnings; or SSI.
Medicare avaiable 25th month after start SSDI
